Australian Community Housing has a longstanding international reputation and commitment to attracting institutional investment into Australian affordable housing. As a proud partner of the International Housing Partnership (IHP), ACH connects member CEOs and executives with leaders in the UK, USA and Canada.

What is the International Housing Partnership?
The International Housing Partnership (IHP) is a collaborative of four country networks with more than 200 high-capacity non-profits from Australia, Canada, the United Kingdom and Ireland, and the United States that collectively operate one million affordable homes and house more than 2.5 million people.
Together members of the IHP use private sector strategies to achieve ambitious social missions, resulting in high-quality affordable homes and thriving communities. Anchored in peer exchange among entrepreneurial leaders, members share innovations and seek common solutions to improve, adapt, and expand their businesses to better serve their communities.
It is the shared values of IHP’s members that enables the partnership to create a unique synergy and derive significant value from their work together, despite fundamental differences in the political, financial, and cultural contexts of each respective country.
The IHP’s primary mechanism for peer exchange and learning is its annual Leadership Exchange, during which senior leaders from the international member organizations gather to discuss approaches on policy and organisational structures, which impact the development, operation, and sustainability of social housing.
The Leadership Exchange is designed to foster:
- The exchange of information on areas of common interest
- Deeper collaboration and exploration on specific areas identified as priorities
- The creation of opportunities for business collaborations among members
