7 Continual improvement

Like all quality management systems, climate change risk management includes a component of continual improvement. In this case it is important to verify that the program of works is achieving the desired improvements in thermal and energy performance, is reducing emissions and the cost of living for tenants and is improving the value of the CHP portfolio.

This includes embedding climate change awareness and actions into business-as-usual operations, especially at decision points such as property design, acquisition, divestment and appliance procurement.

It will also be important to review benchmarks regularly to align to latest climate science, best practice, standards or benchmarks.
