Joseph is an experienced senior executive and a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants. He joined SGCH in June 2022 as Chief Financial Officer and became Acting CEO in August 2024.

Joseph brings over 30 years of commercial finance, governance and risk experience with 15 of those as a Chief Financial Officer, most recently at Venues NSW. He commenced his professional career at EY before joining AMP Capital, culminating in his appointment as Fund Controller for the Property Division. Joseph brings experience in housing organisations having been CFO of Campus Living Villages between 2010-2017. In this role, he played a key role managing investor and financier relationships while supporting the operating business to serve thousands of students living in properties in Australia, NZ, the USA and UK.

Joseph has been integral to developing and executing SGCH’s strategy for almost 3 years and has considerable experience in executive leadership.  He understands the sector is at a crossroad with Governments at both State and Federal levels, highlighting social and affordable housing as a real centerpiece to policy and budget settings.

Joseph worked for a NSW State Government Agency from 2017-22 and at SGCH – has gained a very good understanding of the political landscape.  He also has constant engagement with Government departments and regulators, as well as peak bodies such PHA, CHIA, UDIA, Urban Taskforce, Western Sydney Dialogue and Property Council of Australia.
